Get to know Jo
I'm Jo Gower, founder of Amplify Inclusion.
My drive for social equity has formed the foundation of my decade-long DEIA career, leading me to work across sectors (and international borders) to amplify inclusion efforts.
Through this, I have noticed common patterns that limit the impact of DEIA work, halting progress and building distrust in inclusion initiatives.
Through an intersectional, anti-racist and human rights-based approach, my work gently challenges us to build connections, community, and a culture of active allyship.
It is my mission to prove that DEIA programmes can create real change, and that (with some creativity, hard work, and courage) we can transform our approach to inclusion, together.
DEIA, done differently
It’s not just a tagline.
Here’s what it means in practice:
-
In a world needing so much change, it’s not enough for DEIA to stop at the office doors. My approach takes DEIA beyond the workplace, making inclusion not just an organisational priority, but a personal one for all.
-
We often expect marginalised people to “fit in” to the cultures of our organisations. My approach focuses on breaking down barriers to equity, ensuring new, inclusive cultures where everyone can thrive.
-
Building strong communities of mutual care is a key way of creating structural change. I can help transform your organisation into a community of allies, building a more inclusive future upon the strongest foundations.
-
My approach prioritises building psychological safety, so that we can gently challenge each other to achieve the greatest impact possible. I don’t do tick-box exercises, and only take on projects with the potential to make genuine change.
-
Knowing what works (and what doesn’t) gives us the agility to pivot when needed, the confidence that resources are being well-spent, and the opportunity to make as big an impact on the world as possible.
Many organisations launch in to DEIA work without any way to measure whether they're achieving their goals, restricting themselves to repeating the same patterns over and over.
If you're ready to make DEIA work for you, I can help you measure your current state, set aspirational yet achievable goals, identify and implement meaningful interventions, measure your successes, adapt when needed, and future-proof your approach.
Invested in impact?

Working together
Every client is different and I adapt my working style to suit your needs and context.
However, if you want to know if working with a consultant is right for you (or if you're neurodivergent!), it can be useful to have some structure.
This video outlines the typical steps to completing a project with Amplify Inclusion.
