Disability is a complex phenomenon, influenced by both the body/mind and the external environment. This session utilises the Social Model of Disability to change how participants view disability inclusion, encouraging a more person-centred approach. Understanding and going beyond our legal obligations, including the UK “reasonable adjustments” duty, is essential to true inclusion. This session enables participants to understand what disability is, feel comfortable discussing it using inclusive language, and become inspired to enact best practice for disability inclusion
Suggested session length: 2.5 hours
If you would like to combine this session with the Advanced: Amplifying Disability Inclusion or Introduction to Neuro-Inclusion sessions, a discount is available when booked together
